The LT1 is a one piece cast intake that takes a stock TPI throttle body ; there are no upper and lower parts like a TPI

dont forget you need to drill the hole for the distributer, get a distributer angled shim, fill the head bolt holes with JB weld and redrill the new hole pattern into the intake, and lastly you need to drill and tap the intake for the new coolant lines.. its a big job

Re: L98 intake to LT1 intake questions

Do a search, there are a few threads about converting the LT1 manifold to work with a traditional SBC...

You'll also need a remote thermostat. Do some searching around first like HCR13 said and you will find all the info for the swap. Good luck.

Re: L98 intake to LT1 intake questions

http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tec...ls1/index.html here ya go...I have it and I love it..you will have to extend the iac sensor wire and find a new home for it in the air intake, you will have to get you chip reprogrammed, cause there will be no egr valve, and no cold start injector..make block off plates for the egr,get a remote thermostat housing, extend the coolant temp sensor wires to the remote housing, drill the intake for the new bolt pattern, and the distributor...its a little bit of work..but you wont be running into a wall at 4800rpm no more..
