About my TPI. Need help
Ok i put a new fuse in the fuel pump relay (located near the battery) pour gas into the gas tank and checked the fuel pressure. Everything was ok. But when i start the car, it was choking. Even when i accelerate it, it was still choking and die again. I don't know what the problem is. Do you think it could be the spark plugs or the distributer cap and spark plug wires. I'm running a 87 IROCZ 5.7L auto. Need Help!!!

Choking? Do you mean misfiring, spitting and sputtering? Why did you replace the FP fuse?

the fuse in there was burnt out. So I replace it with newer fuse. I mean the car will start but when you step on the accelerator, the car chokes and dies off. I guess it's spitting or sputtering.

I assume youre checking fuel pressure with a gauge, and that its about 35 with engine at idle, jumps to 40 on throttle snap.
Among the other systems protected by that fuse is the MAF relay. Your symptoms sound alot like a non-functioning MAF. Try this quick test. With the key off, unplug the MAF sensor, start the motor and drive the car. If the symptoms seem to be gone, you will need to pinpoint the failure in your MAF system. Let us know, we will do our best to help.
