What would cause no spark

What would cause no spark if the distributor, icm and coil are all good/new?? My car just died after 5 mins of run time, ran great before it died. Replaced the icm, swapped coils and the distributor is a month old gm replacment part. I've also checked the grounds and they seem to be good. How do I check for power to the coil, which wire? What else could it be??

Re: What would cause no spark

Are you certain it has no spark? You've already checked for fuel? I would make sure the dizzy is installed properly and that the gear is intact. If the dizzy isn't spinning it won't fire. Check the cap and rotor for damage even though it's newer. Check your wiring. A chiltons manual will have wiring diagrams and you can check for power to the coil that way. Or you can pic up a rather inexpensive inline spark checker. Start with the basics, it'll save you time and a lot of money

Re: What would cause no spark

Thanks for the help! Turns out the coil I swapped to was bad also, dug through my parts room and stuck the stock coil on and she fired right up. All this over a bad pick up coil and 2 bad aftermarket coils. Sometimes its best to stay stock!!
