What Could it be?

I've a 88 GTA with a 87 TPI. Between 1500 and 1800 rpm it has a flutter spot, sometimes as low as 1200.

I've replaced the TPS, the throttle body, all ignition parts. Checked the fuel pressure (45) sprayed carb cleaner everywhere no change in idle, it throws no codes. Once past this flutter point (just giving more throttle will get it past it) it runs fine. New MAFS too.

WOT never has the flutter and just runs great.

Any thoughts or ideas?

thanks in advance,

Robert

Re: What Could it be?

I'm thinking that I just need to bite the bullet and pull the top end... replace all the vacuum lines and gaskets. Since I've replaced the TPS sensor, the Throttle body, the MAFS there has to be some kind of leak someplace that I can't see. I did get a couple of scan codes the last time I drove it. One for the MAPS and one for the O2 sensor... will follow those two first but I don't think they could be causing this.
