TPIS Super L98 Camshaft
Looking for info from those whom have run this cam. I have an '89 L98 with tfs 175 heads, big mouth, edelbrock runners, modded plenum, 52mm tb, stock L98 cam w 1.6 rr's and a very mild tune. The car easily passes emissions and will be required to do so again. Its in an '89 jag vert so I'm looking for something with a smooth idle, and retains decent fuel economy. Not looking to shake the car apart. I'm just looking for a little more umphh with the combo I have. 700R4 trans w/ 2800 lock up converter. 3.23 gear. Thanks. Rob

how does that cam look compared to the comp cam xfi 268 ?? i know the xfi268 is a very popular choice for the street 350 guys ...and the more aggressive comp cam would be the xfi280 ..

From my understanding they work/designed for stock heads guessing from the .420 lift figure and large duration split it would.
If it were me Id take advantage of the increased flow of your heads and induction and grab something with more lift.
Looked up the Torque Secrets cam seemed similar maybe I looked it up wrong though.
A Lunati 256, Lingenfelter 211/213 cam would work real well also. Sounds small but would make great torque for your auto car guessing its a little heavier than an IROC with stock manners. Used the 256 in an 86 Iroc (350 conversion) with lightly ported performer heads, shorties, ported TPI system was suprised at how strong it ran considering it was a super cheap build.
Easily sailed through Ca smog too. Bet its a solid 13 sec car.
