carb too tpi?

hi, i have an 86 camaro and currently have the rpm performer top end kit on a 355. ive been seriously missing the tpi and wondering if i should change back. my question is how will the stock tpi run on top of this engine? i know it will need a custom chip and could obviously use a good base and better runners but$$ is an issue. is it a good idea or would you say keep the carb
thanks, adam

Re: carb too tpi?

i have the whole tpi set up but my heads and cam work well at higher rpms so im guessing the tpi will "choke" the engine from its full potential at its top end but if it makes up for it with better low end torque id consider doing it, its a street car so the mpg and drivability would be nice but im also not tring to slow my car down by any means your opinions would be appriciated
