What are these?

I am putting a tpi motor in my 84 and was going over some of the wiring and was wondering what these were for?

The one on the right is an ESC module (Electonic Spark Control), the left one is a fan relay.

So since i have an after market fan and relay for the radiator i would not need this anymore?
