Fuel Pump Install Q's (about SAE30R6 and wiring)

good year says not to use the sae30R6 fuel hose for EFI pressure side but another .doc says that its max and minimum burst pressures look like it would be ok. also, i just wanted to ask if the hose would be ok inside the tank.

also, with this walbro, im actually a little confused as to how to wire it..:

A) bypass the fuel line ground and wire it to original plug

B) tie it into all the stock grounds

thanks guys.

If I remember correct SAE 30R10 is to submerged installations(inside tank)
I put SAE30R9 hose to fuel feed line(outside tank).

If it mentions not to use it maybe it has to do with durability more than pressure. The hose in the pump I removed recently looked more like a black marshmellow than a hose.

Re: Fuel Pump Install Q's (about SAE30R6 and wiring)

You want to use hose labeled for Fuel Injection, or you can use hydraulic high pressure hose. I have used alot of the 300psi hose and it seems to hold up very well in fuel.

I assume that when you mention the rubber section between the hard line and pump, that the Walbro pump has a threaded outlet? If so, use a hose nipple that matches the threads with a section of high pressure hose to attach it to the hard line. If you mean the little pulsator that was installed with most OE pumps, you don't want it because they leak. Assuming that the Walbro pump draws the same current load as the stock pump, use the factory wiring to connect it. Do not count on the fuel lines to be grounded.
