SD TPI swap...need help
ok so im working on a tuned port setup 350 for my swap, im going to use a painless MAP harness for the 90-92 setup, the intake itself is an early style MAF setup, im going to tune the prom to be SD though, so the cold start is gonna be gone etc the camaro is an 89 TBI
my question is painless said that i need to swap my VSS from a 2 to a 4 pluse and my ESC out to convert to the late tpi setup..... my current VSS is mounted on the back of the cluster, and i know that the late tpi has the buffer box on the ecm...... how am i supposed to retain my gauges on this????
ALSO the ESC swap thing, one i dont know why i need to change it and 2 for the later tpi setup its in the memcal itself because its speed density....
Can anyone chime in on this thats done this swap with or without a painless harness? i dont want to repin my current tbi harness because its destroyed.
for the esc thing couldnt i just use the proper 92 ECM and call it a day???

Re: SD TPI swap...need help
The painless harness is not the best choice for that swap it's missing a lot of connectors that are on the stock harness you would have to deconstruct the stock harness and add into the painless whats missing, or at least that was the case with the one I bought.
Not sure about the vss thing, but I'm sure someone will have an answer.
