DLC Won't Show Error Codes - Doesn't Respond to Jumper
I am resurrecting my 89 Camaro Iroc, 5.7 (88k original miles!) that has been sitting unused for about 5 years.
Mice have, as you can imagine, chewed various wires under the hood and I am in the process of fixing them all.
The engine kind of sort of runs, but has a lot of problems.
When I jumper the dlc under the dash, the service engine light just stays solid, doesn't flash at all, when I follow the directions. Any ideas? Won't do the 12 code or anything, just solid. Years ago I jumped it and it worked, so something is goofy. Any thoughts on where to start hunting for more chewed wires?
Edit: So it's pins 5 and 6, not 6 and 12. Hope nothing is fried...
