Location of O2 sensor

I have a 1986 IROC, with a 350ci and even though I have rebuilt the engine I have not modified the exhaust, however it appears someone did. The O2 sensor should be just after the y where the two side of the engine combine into the exhaust pipe correct? I can not find the sensor, and I would like to eliminate it as causing the code 44. Maybe I too tired from celebrating after the Bruins win last night.

Re: Location of O2 sensor

What do you mean when you say someone else modified the exhaust?

The O2 sensor should be located on the drivers side exhaust manifold, just before the collector.
