More info it would take god 2 get a stock l98 2 do 12s mods if u can do all labor yourself bout 7k first. Than spend bout 1k with spohn get everything. Than get a thans (700r4) that can hold 5 to 600hp. Take all yo tools out spare just the stuff u need in the car. A TPIS miniram and fuel rail bout 1200. 30# injectors 58mm TB new forged insides stroker would be nice get a big cam that works with what u got a stall 2 go with it 2. I would go with a 4th gen rear 9" or 12 bolt with 4.10 gears fat tires that can stick and the STIG or spry, turbo or supercharge it I u suck. Its a lot of ways 2 get it 2 do 12s get the car wight down 2 600 and small mods will get u there what do u want a street car, track car 1/4 car a 200mph car.

sticky tires and lots of nitrous. Can't get any cheaper than that. Don't expect your trans and rear end to last long though

Converter, gears, sticky tires, full exhaust will get you in the higher 13's as is. 100 shot should get you into the 12's. Thats as cheap as you can do it.
Else do all the bolt ons. 1.6 rockers, lightweight drag wheels, 2800 stall, full length headers or maybe dyno don's shorties, good y pipe and 3" catback with high flow muffler, electric water pump, gut the TPI air box, advance base timing alittle or actually get into chip tuning and dyno tune that setup to optimal power, stealth ram intake or miniram or superram, or HEAVILY ported TPI with SLP siamesed runners.
ALL the basic bolt ons and tuned will net 250-260whp and capable of cracking a HIGH 12 second pass in good air in a 3400lb car.
