I believe the Corvette pumps have a built in regulator, and the return is from the pump back to the tank.

I have a 90 ZR-1 and they have 2 fuel pumps in-tank. The ZR-1 has 16 injectors and 32 valves and when you mash the gas too far it kicks open a 2nd intake valve and the second injector. The fuel pumps are the regular high pressure like TPI and LS1. They have a key in the console that says engine power norm-full. This is for Valet parking and idiots you don't want to have access to full power. They really are an amazing car way ahead of there time.
