My 88 firebird quit running a while back and I've yet to figure out what is wrong. It will turn over but won't start. I replaced the cap, rotor, pick up coil, and module all at the same time, it started for about 5 mins and died, now it won't start again. When it was started, I noticed it wasn't responsive when I hit the throttle. Any help would be great!!

 

Did you get the timming set properly??

Theres a few things it could be. We need more info..

 

Yes, timing was set. I had the module and coil tested just in case one was bad but it all tested good.

 

What is the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? If its low, change the fuel filter and hope.

Get an digital voltmeter and ohm check the injectors, they should all be 16+1 ohm.

Does it have VATS? Look for the security light to stay on when trying to start it, this would indicate a problem.

Fuel is good, there is not fire through the plug wires. I've replaced everything in the distributor and even retested the module like ten times.
No VATS either.
