racetronix fuel pump question.
well my 92 lb9 z28 has a leaky tank when full and parked on a steep hill so while i have it in the garage for the winter for suspension upgrades im gona drop the tank to fix the leak and possibly put in a new pump. if i run the racetronix pump will i need to upgrade my regulator? the main reason i wanna upgrade is ill most likely be swaping in a 5.3/4l60e combo. ive tried doing research to find my answers but didnt find them. ill prob order the pump within the next month but need to be sure it will work with my stock motor now and the swap later.

Re: racetronix fuel pump question.
You will need an adjustable regulator if you swap the pump now, so that you can return your working pressure back to what it was before the new pump install. You take fuel pressure measurements before and after the swap.
The LSX system has its own regulator, but you may choose to use whatever one you wish with the new engine. Adjustability is preferred.

Re: racetronix fuel pump question.
Yeah I'm running a 4th gen tank on my swap in my 86 trans am but figured I'd run a aftermarket regulator or the vette reg/filter if I do the swap on this car.
