Attempted to data log for the first time and not sure what I'm looking at.

Laptop is running off of battery so I'm not sure if this is good data. You tell me..Please

There was audible pinging during hard acceleration. Much more then when it is not connected to the computer. Runs well, lacks power from dead stop. Exhaust smells bad.

1985 305
1986 wire harness and computer running 1989 prom
dual exhaust no cats, stock manifolds egr deleted
42lbs. fuel pressure at fuel rail (not running)

Too hard to read a txt file of log ; would be better to post the log so someone can run it them self to see what is going on

Re: First time datalogging Questions
Looks like a WinALDL log. Do yourself a favor and go over to TunerPro and get TunerPro RT and associated definition files. You'll get way better log and can save it as a TP xdl file anyone with TP can read or export the log to an excel spreadsheet.

The extra pinging sounds like you left the A and B pins shorted keeping it in ALDL mode, have to pull it on most that need it after data starts to flow. Some do not need it at all...

HTH!

That's exactly what happened... Forgot to pull out the resistor once the data started flowing. I copied and pasted it to excel to read it, but some of the numbers look a little crazy. BLM as high as 247.

This weekend I will dive into Tunerpro.

I don't think that is even possible on a stock chip bin file? So something is wrong...
