Need more ideas/opinions/facts
I am currently building a 406 motor,
I have:
3.75 stroke eagle crank with honda rod throws,
6" Pankl rods for honda journals
400 block bored .030, studded mains, torque plate honed, line honed, parralelled
Victor jr heads, 215cc intake, 85cc exhaust, milled, chamber getting cc'd at the moment, specs to come (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-77639/)
HSR fully ported and polished with 52lb LS1 spec injectors
Comp Cam magnum 1.6 roller rockers
Comp Cam guide plates
Comp cam Magnum, Chromoly, Heat-Treated Pushrods
Cam is as of now a hyd flat tappet
I am having a few issues I wanted opinions on,
my connecting rods use a .867 wrist pin, where can I get pistons for under $1000?
will my magnum rockers on 3/8" studs suffice? to what rpm/power level?
Will a HSR support 8k rpm?
cam suggestions? currently thinking .552/.547 lift with 236/241 duration @050 113 LSA for 6400 rpm can I make at least 450hp/tq with it? and was thinking of throwing in the 4/7 swap feature
I want to make as close to 500 maybe even 600 horsepower eventually, and spin 8k rpm further down the line, I know the rotating assembly is good for it. But I believe I have to go non roller and non hydraulic to make it happen?
Eventually going to shaft rockers, but not sure what shaft mounts work on victor jr heads, maybe I have to go get some AFR's
This will be a mostly street car with a few track days, but the car has antique tags so it gets maybe 2k miles a year, but I don't want to be overhauling the engine every year either.
