5.0L TPI swap into my 5.0L TBI

I have a 1991 rs camaro. It has a 5.0L TBI engine in the car that needs to be rebuilt. I wanna swap it over to a TPI system cause I am pulling the engine as it is. If someone could enlighten me to what items i would need to swap to make this successful I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS 3RD GEN MEMBERS!

everything from the tpi intake up (egr, fuel injecters, trottlebody,fuel rails, plenum, intake runners, thermostat housing, torx bolts, fuel pressure regulator).
est stands for electronic spark control. It's usually a black plastic flat box located on the driver's side of the firewall. it's got something like 5-7 wires coming out of it.
There are several other differences involded in the speed densidy (sd) and the mass air flow (maf) tpi systems. The conversion is not a simple task the first time around. Your best bet is to start reading the hundreds of old threads on this topic and everybody will tell you that it's easiest if you can get all of your parts from the same donar car. Also take note that there some differences in 305 and 350 tpi (computer chip and fuel injecters to name a couple). search search search then search some more and good luck.

To add to what irocarter said, 305's and 350's use a different knock sensor.

Thanks again for the help, but would someone be able to find me a link to a thread involving rewiring the wiring harness from TBI to a TPI system? and would I be able to use any TPI computer for a 305 with my retrofitted harness?

you will also need the tpi throttle cable and transmission kick down cable as the tbi ones are too short.

your best bet is to find a 1991 tpi donor car and strip anything you can use out of it

there is a sticky posted at the top of this forum regarding repinning the tbi harness
