Alternator/Crankcase Filtered air venilation tube issue
I need some help from the guys who have the alternator on the passengerside. Can you provide me with a picture of your alternator? My issue is that the crankcase filtered air ventilation tube (In yellow highlighted picture below) is too long and hits the rear stud behind the alternator that charges the battery. So I wanted to verify if I have the wrong alternator due to the location of the connector and the battery recharging terminal stud behind the alternator.
Pictured directly below is the aluminum tube (numbered 58) that hits the stud that recharges the battery.

Pictured below is my actual tube (with blue arrow) that hits the recharging stud (Yellow arrow). Does your alternator have the 2 wire connector (red arrow) in the same location as your altenator?

If you can provide me with a picture of your setup, that would be great. Thanks guys.

Or you could undo a couple bolts and reclock it.

Yup. Already reclocked it. But in the process of seperating the front of the alternator, the rear casing pulled away from the coil winding causing some internals to break. So I'm just gonna hit up a buddy at autozone and replace. I got lifetime warranty on that bad boy.

Or use the 88-89-90ish molded 1 peice rubber hose that goes to the rear of the valve cover like the multi piece set up you have.
the 90ish-92 hose is shorter and goes the the front of the valve cover

TTOP350. What's up man. I thought about getting that molded hose too. Tunerperformanc pointed that out and gave me the part number. But I got the aluminum multipiece tube so I figured I'd save $25 by staying with what I got. I actually thought about swapping out with the smaller alternator that is for the 87 and up, but then again, I would have to spend more money to get the 86-87 alternator connector conversion. So I really have nothing to lose, other than stopping at Autozone to replace the damaged big alternator.
