You could have got a msd coil from kragens for that price.

Isn't the hypertech coil a hotter spark? 53KV vs 45KV.
It all depends on what you need. I am running .060 gap iridium delcos and I think I need the higher output voltage to avoid misfire. I'm trying to avoid having to use a multispark box like and MSD or Crane.
