Has anyone ever popped the plug on your throttle adjustment screw.. When you tighten up the screws, Even if you can't get it down to that, You still might be ok.. what is it at WOT.. could be about 5.0 roughly...

I would say to try another. I was just curious if anyone played with you idle screw to begin with. There is a chance that it is defective.. The multimeter won't lie as long as it has calibrated. What was wrong with the old one?

Re: cant get.54 from new tps

If This is tuned port injection speed density you can use the older tpi tps and adjust it too 0.710VDC +/- 0.050VDC or 0.660VDC to 0.760VDC. The 90-92 tps does not have elongated holes for adjustment unlike 85-89 tpi it is not needed with the 1227730 ecm.

Re: cant get.54 from new tps

If your 91 is OE stock, the TPS can read between .29 and .98 at closed throttle. It's not adjustable. The later(non adjustable TPS) OBDI GMs generally read .60-.90. As long as it's less than 1.0, the ECM won't have an issue with it. Minimum TPS is an adaptation of the ECM.
