Ok, so I bougtht an '87 camaro z28 for $750 with a blown 305. I've had a 350 lying around wasting so I slapped it in. I know the obvious needs it will have to have: 22 lb injectors and a custom chip since it's a perfomer cam at 204/214 duration. I figured I could at least get it to start and maybe drive it for now so I put everything together as best I can(I'm a carb man not a tpi guy) since whoever owned it started taking parts off it. Surprisingly it fired right off the first try with a little fuel sprayed into the throttle body but died as soon as it was burned. I've done a fuel compression check and it's at 29 psi which surely would get it running even if it runs like crap. I'm stumped as I have all the map and tpi fittings on right. I really don't wanna go the carburator route and would like to get this running with fuel injection if anyone has any suggestions. Oh and the injectors all are at 17-18 ohms and getting voltage.
Edit: it seems someone rewired the fuel pump because it was blowing fuses. If there is no signal to the ecm that the fuel pumps running could that be why there's no pulse to the injectors?
