Need Advise On Next Round Of Mods
So last winter I basically took a L98 out of an 87 Iroc took the whole thing apart fully rebuilt the bottom end, had the heads cleaned, decked, changed valve stem seals upgraded the springs and retainers, went with a crane 2032 cam, tpis big mouth lower intake, ported slp runners, ported upper plenum, and MSD Dizzy. Switched it to SD by getting a harness and a ecm installed a MAP..
Full exhaust hooker 2055 3" headers and y pipe, gutted cat and magnaflow 3" all the way back...
the suspension was done the summer before so thats done already...
I am doing the interior this year but besides that i wanted to get your opinions on what performance mods can I make to add power or have I basically taken this motor as far as it could go without doing heads or a power adder?
only reason I didnt get a good set of aftermarket heads was I was waaaaay over budget now I just dont feel like taking it all apart again. So was wondering what peformance mods i can do at this point...

The cam is a little on the small side. What you can do is use a 1.6RR and pump up its lift to 0.482 int./0.496 exh. There are a few people running that setup .480 is about as high as you generally want to run on those heads. But what you can do to run the cam and be safe with that setup is get the heads fitted for screw in studs. Almost any performance machine shop will do this for pretty cheap.

I know you can get away with it, because there are many people doing it with and without screw in studs. I personally wouldn't chance it on my motor but it has been done.
