HELP!!! tall valve cover clearance

Doese anyone have a solution to using tall valve covers and clearing alternator power stud.

I was on Summit a couple of weeks ago looking at high amp alternators for 88 - later TPI, I saw a unit, I forget who makes it, that has the stud moved to the side of the alternator. That should work for your situation.

what happen to the rubber boot that covers that? i had one on both my camaros.

Rubber boot or not I can't slide the vale cover over. I had to take the alt. splattered and changed. the position on it. I'll post pics when I get a chance
