Fuel senders...

Looking for comments on fuel sending units that you may have bought for your f-body. AC Delco, Dorman, Spectra, RightStuff... Quality? Is the Delco unit worth twice as much as the others?? Thanks!

Re: Fuel senders...

I put a spectra in my 85 and it fit fine. The fuel pump fit in fine and the gauge reads properly. No complaints here.

I'm really considering that one for the price! I read on their website that the materials have been ramped up for better corrosion resistance.

Good deal! I just can't see where the price of the Delco is justified. Nice swap btw!

Did you follow a link to replace it? My gauge just stopped being accurate and I was wondering if removing the tank was the only option.

Re: Fuel senders...

Not sure I follow but if the gauge reads wrong it can only be either the sending unit or the gauge. It would be easier to change the gauge to see if it fixes the problem. Otherwise it is the sending unit and you would have to drop the tank.

It could also be a grounding issue. If the sending unit is not grounded properly it could read wrong.
