idle issue with the gas pedal?
when the car is running at idle, its kinda high at first and after warm up. I can get it to go down when I pull back on the gas pedal or push the throttle at the tb. is there a way to adjust the spring or loosen the cable a little? the only line attached to the tb is the throttle cable. I have no cruise control or auto transmission..

Re: idle issue with the gas pedal?
There is no adjustment on the cable or spring unless you have a holley tb. Have you checked the throttle shaft for play ? It sounds like the wear in the throttle body is causing the blades no fully close.

If the throttle body's passages are all clear, you will need to replace the spring with a new one that's got more tention.
Got the same issue here. Lubrication does not help and at times I will have to pull the gas pedal back a little (while in idle) to get the RPM down.
