Fuel injector question

Hi all,
I am new to the third gen....just recently acquired an 89 formula, with the lb9 tpi engine.

I noticed a fuel leak at the fuel rail cross over tube....and as I have it all torn apart now...to address that.

I noticed that I have two different types of injectors.

It has 4 5156. 5235186.....Internet searches lead to believe these are for a v6 model

Then the other set is 1237 17102119.....the search here says that is old part number...but the correct injector.

So to the real question....are those other injectors going to cause a problem?

Thanks!

Re: Fuel injector question

You can definitely run injectors that have 2 different part numbers, however they need to have the same flow rate and the same spray pattern. There are many injectors that have a different color and part number yet they flow the same. IMO you should just replace all of them.

Re: Fuel injector question

While you have it apart, you may as well replace all of them.
Once upon a time it was ridiculously expensive to replace injectors.
Now that we have Southbay providing high quality injectors at fantastic prices, there is no reason to just replace a couple at a time.

Thanks for the reply!

I see you offer 3 kinds of injectors for this engine.
I hope this isn't a dumb question...but how do they differ?
Thanks again!

And thanks for the other replies!

I am definitely going to replace all of the injectors.....as I have no idea how old they are.
