Tuner pro readings for 89 Transam
Tuner pro readings for 89 Transam
I am working on my stock 89 trans am which runs great but has a terribly rough idle. So far I have:
-New injectors
-new IAC
New plugs
Checked Wires
run code check- No codes except Code 12
I ran it on tuner pro but i am not sure of the readings. I am confused by thesereading which I got while running the car.
2 MAT's?
2 MAP's?
2 Coolant Temps?
Which one is which?
Do these look right?
101 IAC POsition
0.00 Batery Voltage
213 OLD PA3
1275 Engine speed
0.57 tps
09 BLM
128 INT
381.92 o2 Sensor
o.oo MAP
10.35 MAP
159 Coolant Temp
121 MAT
70.56 Coolant Temp
49.62 MAT
Open loop Status
was open Forced open loop

Thanks for any help

The double readings are likely farenheit and celcius.
Check the readings again when you are at full operating temperature.

IT'S FIXED! Idling like a purring kitten.
Yes I had the wrong definition code for the tuner pro (Thank you for spotting that). I went home and loaded the right one and ran it on the car. Everything was good accept the timing advance which read 30 degrees advanced.
I grabbed my timing light and sure enough that was it!!
I am more than a little embarrassed at not checking it sooner (or before buying, plugs, egr valve, injectors) but who cares the car runs great and I did it myself. Plus the car started beautifully and ran awesome at anything over an idle so bad timing seemed unlikely, oh well live and learn.
Thanks for the help and my final lesson on the matter- check all tune up and maintenance settings before you go to the parts store.
