Weird oil pressure
I have a l98. Unknown mileage. I have a decent oil leak and a weird oil pressure issue and I think they go hand in hand.
Cold start up the oil pressure gauge is almost pegged to 60. After driving around a bit and engine hot, it goes down to 10-16 at idle. At 2000 rpm it's at 30.
And the oil leak is a pressurized leak seeing that I get oil spray all the way to my rear bumper
Any ideas?

Re: Weird oil pressure
Sounds normal? I've never owned a vehicle where the oil pressure would differentiate so much. Other vehicles would stay right around 40 psi hot or cold. Idle or crusing. I figured it had too high of oil pressure causing the oil to squirt out of the weakest point. I.E. dizzy seal or the plug in back for other oil senders

Just cause the oil is sprayed all over does not mean its under pressure. Something like a oil pan or timing cover leak gets carried by the air flow. And in my experience the higher the pressure the bigger the leak. I would suggest finding and fixing your leak.
Your oil pressure numbers are OK. The LT1 motors at hot idle have an oil pressure of around 10 and jump up to 30-35 with the RPM.
