Size of hard lines going into fuel tank?

Does anyone know for sure the size of the 4 hard lines going into the fuel pump assembly at the top of the fuel tank on a 1992?

When I bought my 92 GTA the trunk floor had already been cut for an access panel (they glued it back into place) and all of the 4 hard lines snipped and hose used to bridge.

I'm wanting to replace all of those little segments of hose with proper/newer Goodyear fuel injection hose and correct fuel injection hose clamps.

Do I buy 3/8" or 1/4"?

At least I can say they did a really good job cutting the panel and gluing it back in. I can't say they used the right type of hose, clamps, or even cut the hard lines right. I'm going to get a super sharp pair of dykes and snip the ends on all of them and properly round them off for installing new segments of hose.

Yeah, *someday* I will weld the panel back in place and drop the tank to replace all of the hard lines and assembly, but this sure as hell isn't that someday lol!

Thanks for your help!

Oh, while I'm at it, what glue/adhesive do I buy for putting that panel back? I'm guessing it's similar to what Pontiac used on all of the panel joints?

Re: Size of hard lines going into fuel tank?

I found this in the forum archives:

Feed is 3/8, Return 5/16, Vent 3/8, EVAP 5/16

I'll go buy that for now and see how that goes.

Anyone have a diagram of the top of the fuel pump unit that shows which line exactly is which? No biggie if not, just curious. I can tell by looking at the lines probably which 2 are the larger 3/8.

Thanks! Alex

I thought it was 3/8 feed, 5/16 return, 5/16 vent, and 1/4 vapor?

Haha, good to know that may be the case!

The stuff is cheap enough anyway. I'll get a 1' FI hose in 3/8 and 5/16 then a foot of 1/4 low pressure fuel hose, that should cover whatever I may run into!

Ok, so for a 1992 anyway, there is no 1/4".

The 2 larger outer hard lines are 3/8" and the 2 smaller inner hard lines are 5/16".
