85 Trans Am w/TPI - Code 32

So I knew it would happen eventually. I'm cruising around last weekend with the A/C on and the CEL pops up. The engine doesn't seem to run any different so I continue on my way home. Once I get home, I pull the code, the only code, a 32. It refers to an EGR fault, correct?

Anyway, I restart the car, no CEL light. As the weather cools down later in the day, I take the car out again and put another 60 miles on it, no A/C, and no light. This weekend, I drove the car another 60 miles with no A/C on and didn't get a light. However, once I put the A/C on, within 10 miles, the light came back.

So, is the EGR valve just dirty or is it a fault somewhere else, like the temperature sensor, etc. The vacuum line seems to be intact with no cracks. The motor was rebuilt 4 years ago and has roughly 9k on it since the rebuild. I'm thinking carbon buildup from lack of use.

Anyway, if it's the EGR valve, will another one from another TPI engine work? I have 2 sitting in my garage now, one from an 85 Corvette and another from an 89 Corvette.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

http://sethirdgen.org/egr.htm This link explains it well. Read it. Can be anything that can make the computer not think the egr is working. Wiring, temp sensor, solenoid, junk in the manifold, etc. Understanding and testing is the best way to fix it.
