Fuel injector ohms
Hey there guys I tested my injectors with my multimeter because my 92 L98 is not passing smog and has a slight hesitation when taking off. From my understanding all the injectors are supposed to test out to be around 16.5 ohms. My issue is the passenger side all tested to be 17, the two front driver sides tested 8.5 and the two rear driver side tested 11.5 ohms. What is the deal, does the driver side have mis matched injectors or something? I just bought the car and am having issues passing smog and have a slight hesitation taking off. What should I do? replace them?

Re: Fuel injector ohms
Just luck of the draw. Each bank has it's own fuse for power. But all eight injectors are driven by the one driver in the ECM. Although each bank gets it's own wire from the ECM (exits on two pins).
Time to replace them and enjoy the better running engine.

Re: Fuel injector ohms
Replace them! And keep in mind that, checking injectors with an ohm meter means your checking the resistance... you can still have injectors fail mechanically and ohm fine.
Hope this helps!
