Question: Oil pressure gauge not working
Hi everyone,
I recently replaced the oil pressure sending unit on my 1987 Camaro 305 TPI, because my factory oil pressure gauge in the dash wasn't really working. I have an Auto Meter gauge pillar in my car, housing a second oil pressure gauge, which works perfectly fine (has separate sending unit). After replacing the sending unit for the dash gauge, the gauge still isn't working. The needle moves when I start the car, and drops to zero again when I shut it off, but while running it is just hovering above zero in the red. The guy at the parts store gave me a 60 psi unit, but I am wondering if the sender is the wrong one (note that my gauges are metric).
Has anyone had this issue before? I searched the threads but didn't find this scenario. Thanks.

Re: Question: Oil pressure gauge not working
I had the same problem on my GTA. Replace the gauge. Its fairly simple and its a good excuse to upgrade the gauge cluster light bulbs to the 168 bulbs. They fit perfect and are a little brighter.
