Re-adjusting IAC/TPS necessary?

Hello!

Being a new owner of a Camaro 350 TPI -89, I'm in need of some advice.

Due to earlier problems the base timing, then IAC and TPS was re-adjusted by my workshop. The mechaninc however wasn't quite satisfied with how the engine ran, so he later adjusted the base timing down from 6* to something like 5.5-5*. The engine now runs good and I don't really experience any problem about this. (The only thing might be that it's sliightly slow when cranking it, takes a sec or two before starting up).

What I wonder is if it's really necessary to re-adjust the IAC and TPS now, due to the slight change in base timing? I read it should be done in that order but since the car runs fine, it seems unnecessary to me.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
Per

Generally you do it whenever you make a change. They also come out of adjustment over time, slightly. If you don't have driveability issues, I'd just leave it the way it is. A half a degree of timing shouldn't affect it that much

Okay, thanks for that! I'll drive it a bit more and see how it behaves, then decide what to do.

Cheers!
