need help

I have a 89 RS 2.8 v6 was driving and just shut off. I have power and will turn over. I'm getting a code 32 and have just changed the egr valve last weekend. Thinking the ecm went out what is the best way to determine if the ecm is bad. Was backfiring a little before it messed up. Not sure if it is tpi or tbi. Any input would help. Thanks

Re: need help

You have mpfi not tpi or tbi...usually the best way to find out is by getting the codes from the ecm or to drive the car and tap it while driving to see what happens...let me know if yoi need an ecm good luck

Re: need help

Fixed my car today turned out my to be my rotar button and distributor cap. Had a plug wre burnt in 2 inside the insulator. I changed my plugs and wires plus the rotar button distributor cap and she fired right up. Whoever had the car before me had the plugs gapped at 0.035 instead of 0.045. Don't know what the affects are of being gapped wrong but she runs a lot better. Thanks for the suggestions
