Latest on EGR and Temp Sensor Switch

Anyone still having problems like me on this EGR Temperature Sensor Switch? I was able to find the Corvette switch which is identical to my original 1989 IROC 5.7 TPI, but the new EGR I got from O'Reilly had a much smaller tapped opening than original factory. Can't unthread factory base and swap either. Anyone know of a thread with similar problem/solution?

Okay: will go back in the morning with this additional info. So they do have the right base with the larger tapped opening? Does O'Reilly now carry the temp switch?

Re: Latest on EGR and Temp Sensor Switch

I found the temp switch at Midwaymusclecar
EGR Temperature Switch 85 86 87 88 89 Chevrolet Chevy Camaro temp z28 305 350
Item# 261546601887 $55.00 USD
This was cheaper than the corvette supply places. I know the 1986 Corvette temp switch fits, so you can search this way.

F*^# I am getting sick of these mistakes. It came today, and without a tapped port for the temp switch.
