Speed Density Map sensor mounting and vacumn point
I am wondering if anyone has pics of the way the map sensor mount to the plenum on the speed density cars. I had a map sensor on the firewall in my 305 tbi, but I have heard the less vacumn line to the map sensor means quicker throttle response. I would like to see the bracket? or whatever they used to mount it to the plenum. Also, does the map have aseperate vacumn from the plenum? I just have a tee in one of the two back ones. Any help would be great. Thanks everybody.

I don't have a picture (I tried to find one in the archives also), but I can easily describe it for you.
The MAP sensor mounts on the passenger-rear side of the plenum (near the position of the FPR but on the plenum). The vacuum line is a very short hose connected between the plenum and the sensor. Total distance is about 1 1/2"s. Nothing else is "t-eed" into it. The connector is an "oval" and connects from the bottom.

I don't have a pic of mine at the moment. I don't have the mounting hole for the MAP on my car since it was a MAF plenum.
I am just going to let it sit behind the intake next to the distributor. That is what my friend Kevin did on his 90 Formula 350 after he put the SLP -T-Ram on his car. Doesn't seem to impede performance.

This also was a mass air flow system that we converted. I will be installing the adjustible fpr here shortly, so I will just drill the plenum then. I will also install another vacumn point for the map sensor. Thanks guys, and Merry Christmas.
