Timing Issue?!?

Hey everyone,

Finally got my 350 TPI in my 1965 C10 and got it running. Fixed my vacuum leaks, now im down to the final fixes before I can take it for a drive. I had not checked the timing at all, so I checked it and the timing was nearly 6 degress after top dead center. I shut the truck off, pulled the timing wire connector, started it back up, timed it to 6 degrees before top dead center, shut it off, reconnected the timing wire, restarted the truck, and now it is running like CRAP. It is backfiring through the intake and running very very rough.

Help???

Need any and all suggestions!!

Re: Timing Issue?!?

You might be confused with before and after tdc...looking at 0 degrees, btdc is to the left or counter clockwise vs atdc is clockwise or going right...hope this was what you were needing and apologize if you already knew this just seems logical since it ran fine before it was adjusted

If that all checks out then reverify tdc with #1 cyl
