1989 TPI flooding itself
1989 TPI flooding itself
I have a 1989 Camaro with a 5.0 tpi. The car will start right up, run as long as I want it to, with a high idle. But after I shut it down it won't restart and smells like its flooding itself. I've replaced everything with the fuel system other then injectors and everything with the fire is new. Spark plugs in it have maybe 30 minutes of run time and are already black and smell strong of fuel. Any idea what I could be missing? Thanks

Vacuum line from the plenum to the fuel pressure regulator off or cracked?

If you have a fuel pressure gauge, connect it to the schrader valve and see if it holds pressure after you shut the motor off. It should hold for a few min. You may have a leaky injector.
