Scrapping a car, what all do I need to take?
I'm pulling the engine out of an LB9 firebird that i can no longer store. I intend to take the engine and trans and put them in storage. I'm wondering what a general list of other parts I should save off of the car; with the intention of transplanting the engine into another vehicle at a later time. I'm presuming that I'll need the ECU, and it's harness. Other than that, are there other components I should save? I'd like to not have to buy anything in the future that I could have removed from this car.
Thanks,
-Charlie

I've pulled a couple wiring harnesses out of cars now and reinstalled in other cars. The best advice I can give you is to label every plug with a piece of masking tape. Even if you think you will remember. It will save you lots of headaches down the road. When you get ready to reinstall the harness you can lay it out in the new car and everything will fall into place. As far as what else to save I'm not sure. Save anything else you even think you might need, you can always trow it out later if you end up not needing it.

Depending on what rear is in it I would keep that.
