3.27 Gears HSR?

3.27 Gears HSR?

Would 3.27 gears be too tall for a 383 with a HSR? Thanks scott

Wouldn't be that bad with say a 2,800rpm-3,000rpm stall converter depending on what cam you are using. 3.73 gears may be a better fit.

The HSR will shift the power band up so you will be making good power in the 5,000rpm-6,000rpm. Steeper gears will help you get in to that power band faster. The higher stall will help you stay in the power band while you are accelerating.

Thanks, Just getting some ideas. My gta has a rod knock and i have a 383 with brodix ik200 heads with a crower 00468 cam all done sitting on a stand. But i dont want the stock setup choking it. Thanks again..
