89 Camaro TPI Wiring
I have a 89 Camaro I'm doing a V6 to V8 swap. I got a used TPI harness from a 89 Camaro. I installed it yesterday and I seem to be missing the alternator charge wire. How is that ran? I also have 2 connectors on the drivers side that have no connection point. Both are like a # 10 or # 12 wire one is red one is orange. Thanks for the help

If the harness you have installed now is from a bird. I think the orange wire goes from the battery + to the oil pressure sensor. You might try ohming it to make sure that's correct.

The red I think goes to the fan relay and hooks to bat + but I'd ohm it first.

Re: 89 Camaro TPI Wiring
Awesome, I'll double check with a meter. I assumed it was either the fuel pump or ecm since the one is fused with a 20 amp fuse and the other is just a fan control. Once it gets above freezing I'll double check. It was supposed to be a 89 Camaro harness but I think it got a firebird harness. Those 2 power supplies are on the drivers side and my canister purge wire is on the passenger side. Totally backwards but I'll make it work. Thanks for the help
