Ok so here is my idea i have a 92 rs with a 305 TBI i am thinking about swaping in an L31 vortec long block with front crank sensor and using a vortec distributor on the TPI intake and using a 0411 ECM to run it
has anyone actually done this and does the vortec distributor fit the TPI and clear the plenum
thanks
George

efi connections does that, but they only use the distributor for a cam position and use coil per cylinder. There's a sticky on this forum about it.

I swapped this setup onto a 1994 G10 van using the Vortec Black Box. Plenty of room using the Vortec distributor and cap. Remember some of the TPIs had even larger large cap HEIs on themOriginally Posted by fbodyguy86
