fuel injector leak ?

I have two injectors they are externally wet. both have fuel "stains" on the bottom where the injector and manifold meet. engine bay smells like fuel.

I was thinking I should buy new injectors buy im just not 100% they are the injectors how do i know its not the fuel rail or something else? im pretty convinced they are the injector Orings but i dont want to buy $200 injectors and find out later they arent the problem. Going to do a pressure test but not sure how conclusive it will be ... and might not even be necessary because i can obviously see something leaking theres alot of evidence pointing to the injector but i just want to be 100% sure before spending cash$$.

also , is there a discount for forum members for southbay injectors?

Re: fuel injector leak ?

you can ohm test the injectors with them in the car very easily, do a search.

It most likely is the o rings leaking. When you pull the fuel rail off, put the injectors back into the rail and put that on top of a piece of cardboard/paper. then turn the key on but do not start the car. if they leak out onto the paper/cardboard then they're bad. chances are if they're original injectors then they are well on their way out.

you can get a discount for southbay when you call them to place your order. they're great to deal with over the phone.

do you mean take out the fuel rail out of the car (the fuel injectors should still be attached when i take it out)..
then hook up the fuel rail then do the test?

If you're going to pull the injectors out of the rail,, just switch out the orings.
And yes, we still have the promo 10% off however it's not set up on the website yet as the site is fairly new. So, if you are interested in a set of injectors just give us a call at the shop and let us know that you're from thirdgen and we'll take care of you.
