What size is this air filter?!

First time poster so please be gentle!

I am the proud new owner of an 86 5.0 TPI that I'm restoring to glory. I've ordered the wrong air filter 3 times apparently and can't seems to get a good answer from anybody as to the exact part or filter I'd need for this style of air box (pic attached).

Also, do you guys have any better suggestions for either a short ram/CAI? This has the GTA hood with louvres. Not sure if it's worth it to mod the box or keep stock.

Thanks! Looking forward to joining the 3rd get community : )

I would look for a used SLP cold air kit or factory 88-89 ductwork/air canister. They're on E-Bay quite often.

Been hunting for a SLP CAI for a bit now. I wish they'd be up a bit.. more often.

Re: What size is this air filter?!

If you get the stock ductwork and canister you're 95% of the way to a SLP cold air setup anyway - the difference being only the highly crack-able box.

Some people sell only the boxes. I bought a number of them over the years as replacements (especially for the lids). You have to be creative in your search terms. You should also invest in a plastic welder. It will broaden your options.
