Need advice to make TPI run on Edelbrock performer RPM crate motor
First off, I know that a TPI manifold doesn't belong on a high revving 350 crate motor. Obviously the cam is a mismatch and doesn't come onto power until the manifold is already maxed out etc etc. However...
Will a completely factory TPI setup run the motor as is? Will it start , idle and drive safe enough without any tune? I don't need it optimised, I just need it to drive reasonably for a short term without hurting the engine.
I have read that the MAF TPI is a bit more forgiving with larger or cammed engines than the MAP version, will the MAF version be able to handle it for some light load driving. What problems will I have?

Factory tune may not handle it. Only way to know is to try. Mostly stock maf tables worked ok on my old 383 stealth ram motor but was alittle rough idle and way off on wot.
You can run tpi on anything. It dont matter the heads cam to a point....just have to tune it to work right
