Who has replaced their upper intake bolts

And what would you recommend?
They appear to be:
M8 x 1.25 - 30mm 40mm 55mm
I had to take the intake off the truck a.g.a.i.n and now put back together, and I remember how much torx sux. Hex or allen heads? Or other.

Nothing wrong with Torx bolts. It just helps if you use the correct tool in the proper way. Do that and they're better than Allen socket heads. Problem is cheap tools, not seating the tool completely, gunk in the sockets, etc.

If you insist one changing them, Allen are the closest substitute.

I bought a polished allen bolt kit off ebay. The torx worked fine for me, but I wanted a little more bling.

Re: Who has replaced their upper intake bolts

I second the Allen socket head's. Got a complete set on eBay. It makes it lot easier because you can use a ball tipped Allen socket which gives a lot of leeway in the angle you attack them from. Torx is fine and strong but the 1/4" drive ball tipped Allen socket and matching fasteners makes a better combination IMO.
