Bosch O2 Sensors trouble with TPI?
I read in a few older posts, some from other sites, that the Bosch O2 sensors can be problematic on these cars. Has anyone heard of this?
Re: Bosch O2 Sensors trouble with TPI?
Thats funny... I've had a Bosch O2 sensor in my Formula for 17 years. Pretty sure if there was a problem I'd have heard about it by now.
Narrow band O2 sensors do so little, they're virtually generic. Parts stores used to sell generic 1, 2, or 3 wire O2s, just cut the wire and splice em in. They're hardly even application specific.

You'd probably be fine but when a couple veteran members say the likes of
Get the AC Delco (AFS74). They tend to work better than the Bosch (13077)
I figure for $8 more one may as well listen.

What? AFS74 and 13077 are both three wire heated oxygen sensors. Thirdgens use single wire (non-heated) sensors. Really not seeing how it relates.
For the standard 1-wire O2 sensor found on Thirdgens, the ACDelco part appears to be a reboxed Bosch part anyway.

Oh yeah- true. Well I happened to be comparing them today and came across this same investigation so I chimed in. I spoke to the three-wire heated as it appears to be the typical mod.
