TBI fuel pump on TPI

Hi all , A week ago I had install a TBI fuel pump on my 91 TPI bird , and I went in this many guesses of finding the crank issue with no start reasons , my car park area gives the passenger side higher level than the driver's, with low fuel I believe the fuel pump became dry and thirsty in this position I took A (stupid decision) to change the fuel pump and parts shop gives me that belongs to 305 90 caprice classic saying all the same.. sparks already changes in that stupidity week, tank also filled well.

My question .. is there any other reasons given crank with no start before I replace AGAIN this fuel pump with TPI right one . Thank you and sorry for the long analyzing ..

Not sure about your no start issue, but that pump will not put out enough pressure for the TPI. When you remove the fuel pump, just test the wiring to make sure there is power to it to eliminate the tank area as a problem. The erratic fuel gauge might be the sending unit, which tends to go bad as the car gets old. Might want to change it while it is out.

Re: TBI fuel pump on TPI

Tbi pump has nowhere near the flow capacity to get the required psi (dead head pressure rating way too low) yoy'd have been better off with a big walbro or ls1 pump
