Has anyone used the ford maf conversion kit???

Does anyone have any experence with the ford maf conversion kit from granetelli motorsports? The kit supposedly replaces the gm maf with larger aftermarket ford style maf just curios thanks.

You mean they are finally selling it? I heard about that from a friend of a friend who works there more than a year ago.

Hey max dont know for sure if there selling it but i read about it in a performance magazine a while back. They said they offered the conversion kit but they preferred to install it on the car themselves for custom prom tuning if necessary. i will be callng tomorrow for info and i will update!!!

Hey GTABANDIT keep all of us posted on your results. Ive heard that people have been having a hard time finding the Wells MAF, and this could be a nice addition to out options.
BTW, do you remember what publication this article was in (GM high tech Perf?) and what month.

wouldn't a larger MAF be pointless? The ECM doesn't read air after certain point, i could be wrong though...

It might not be pointless to some extent, where that line is exactly I am not sure. The ECM does have its limitations but there are some ways around getting more fuel in the engine, its just far from ideal.

Alright folks found that magazine with the article. It is car craft of may 2001 it is a large tech article entitled efi mass air flow versus speed density. bad news called granetelli today and they have discontinued it oh well.
